How Many Men Does It Take?
A writer's dilemma when gazing out the window instead of playing solitaire.
How Many Men Does It Take To Fill One Small Hole?
One leans on a brush
Another rest on a wheelbarrow
A third shovels warm tarmac.
They block the pavement with two trucks
One contains the tarmac
the other holds the tools.
Though I heard it I never saw who operated the jackhammer.
Was there a fourth man now gone or can one man do two jobs?
When all was done I did not see how they dispersed into the trucks.
Did two share a cab and one have to go alone?
Or did one share with the illusive jackhammer operator?
Perhaps one of them had to walk to the next job
not wanting to spoil the symmetry of it all.
I am still in the process of working on my memoir but do get easily side-tracked.

This sounds like the lead-in to a joke. I've seen this sort of thing on the highway before, too. The funniest time when we saw four guys standing around watching ONE guy dig a hole. I guess he really, really needed intense supervision. 👷♂️👷♂️👷♂️👷♂️ plus 👷♂️ to do the work... 😂
