I started this Substack with the plan of it becoming a place that would motivate me to write about parenting adult children. As those who have been here from the beginning will know that has not been the case. So after attending a day at a local well-being centre to talk about using creative writing for well-being I’ve decided to changing direction a wee bit.
For the foreseeable future I will be using this space to unfurl how the types of creative writing I love help with my well-being. There will be at least one piece a month, hopefully two, for paid subscribers where they can do some exercises and get some feedback, if they wish, around writing for therapeutic purposes. There will also be one piece a month for those who choose not to subscribe.
The reason for this is that I would like to see what the response is for this sort of thing the way I do it - which will be different from the ways others do it. Then, potentially, to start either face to face [if there are enough people locally] or Zoom workshops and see how that goes.
